KDT A8 Wide Belt Sander
KDT A8 automatic wide belt sander with three sanding units and an electronic sectional pad for precise calibration and fine surface sanding. Working width 1300 mm.
The KDT A8-1300RRHC automatic wide belt sander is a professional sanding machine designed for calibrating and fine sanding of solid wood and other panel materials. The machine is equipped with three sanding units that ensure high processing quality and a precise final surface.
The first two units are fitted with Ø190 mm sanding rollers, while the third unit features an electronic sectional sanding pad with 30 segments, which adapts precisely to different surfaces and prevents over-sanding of the edges.
The machine has a vacuum conveyor table that ensures stable feeding even of smaller workpieces. It is equipped with automatic workpiece thickness measurement, frequency inverters for adjusting sanding speed, a cleaning brush and a dust blow-off system. Operation is via a clear touch screen.

Vacuum feed table
The 7.5 kW vacuum system holds workpieces securely – highly effective for small panels with very smooth surfaces, while also improving conveyor belt cleaning.
The heavy-duty table is mounted on ground cylinders with automatic belt self-centring, preventing stoppages and extending belt life. A cleaning roller continuously removes dust from the belt during operation, reducing manual cleaning and preventing dust from sticking to the underside of the panel.
Thickness sensor and working height up to 150 mm
A precise sensor measures the panel thickness, and the table is then positioned automatically or manually (selector switch). Maximum working thickness is 150 mm.
Sanding rollers with reversible rotation
Both sanding rollers (Ø190 mm, the second with 65 Sh hardness) allow reversing the direction of the sanding belt, as required for certain jobs. Extraction outlets and ducting are provided for both sanding directions.
Timed roller: the central control reads the workpiece length, and the roller applies pressure exactly at the start and releases it at the end of the workpiece – preventing over-sanding of the leading and trailing edges.
Helically grooved roller and unified sanding belts
Helical grooves on the roller dissipate heat and improve dust extraction, extending the life of the sanding belts.
Sanding belts for the rollers and the sectional pad unit are unified at 2620 × 1330 mm – simpler purchasing, fewer errors and better heat dissipation.
Longitudinal electronic sectional pad
The pad is divided into 30 electronically controlled segments, splitting a 1300 mm wide panel into 80 zones. The sanding area is controlled by an intelligent system, making it ideal for uneven surfaces and narrow workpieces and delivering an excellent finish.
The felt is separate from the sanding belt and is replaced at the push of a pneumatic button.
SUPER FINISHER with oscillating blowers
Double belt: an inner lamellar belt continuously supports the outer sanding belt, multiplying the contact surface and adapting even better to the panel surface – for an exceptionally high-quality finish.
Oscillating blowers keep the sanding belt clean and extend its service life.
