The flow-through CNC machining center KDT KHM-680 is a dedicated, robust machine designed for fast and efficient door leaf processing. This multifunctional machine combines several operations into a single cycle, significantly reducing operator workload and increasing safety. It is ideal for both serial production and made-to-order door manufacturing. The machine supports continuous material feed and can process door leaves up to 3000 mm in length.

The main advantage of this machine lies in its automation, which greatly relieves the operator. The entire cycle – from automatic loading and unloading to QR code scanning – runs fully automatically.

Its flexibility is further enhanced by the automatic tool change system on the main milling spindle. Despite its automation capabilities, the investment in this machine or production line is lower than in a traditional 5-axis CNC machine.

KDT KHM-680 Machine Functions

The KHM-680 CNC is specialized for the most demanding door leaf manufacturing tasks and allows for:

• Milling grooves for locks and hinges
• Processing the front/edge sides of the door leaf
• Milling grooves for seals
• Drilling peephole holes
• Surface routing (engraving) and additional machining
• Precise trimming of all four door leaf edges

Machine Features:

- Intelligent control: Equipped with PC-based control and a visual interface for easy and intuitive operation. QR code scanning enables fully automatic line operation.

- Three independent processing units:
• Vertical milling spindle, 9 kW, with 12-position automatic tool changer
• Horizontal unit with dual spindles (6 kW + 2.2 kW)
• Sawing unit (5.5 kW + 1.5 kW)

- Automatic table adjustment: The worktable automatically adjusts to the optimal clamping position based on door leaf size using servo motors. Vacuum cups are also servo-positioned for optimal holding.

- Advanced software: The intelligent visual programming software includes a standard lock library, simplifying the production process.

- Automation and efficiency: The machine includes automatic thickness measurement of the door leaf, automatic tool length calibration (no manual measuring required), and an automatic waste extraction and recycling system – all contributing to lower workload and increased workplace safety.
