Nesting spiral router cutter CMT is great for processing refined composite materials such as chipboard and the like. The cutter is coated with DLCS CHROME coating, which ensures 3x longer life of the cutter compared to a classic spiral cutter.
CMT nesting spiral router cutter is designed for milling grooves, profiles, trimming on solid wood, wood composites, plastic materials and laminates.
With the cutter we can work with a high feed rate (with cutters with a diameter of 16 mm we can have a feed rate of 12 to 18 m/min at a speed of 18000 rpm).
The cutter can be used on CNC machines, benchtop wood shapers and manual spindle moulders.
DLCS is a modified diamond-like carbon coating. Hard and durable metal-based coating (chromium nitride) provides greater surface hardness and increases wear resistance. The coating prevents heating to a high temperature which could impair the operation of the cutter.
EXCEPTIONAL COATING STRENGTH: > 2,500 HV
The coating offers impressive hardness of tool cutting parts and excellent protection against abrasive wear and load resistance.
MINIMUM COATING THICKNESS: 2 - 4 µm
The minimal micron coating ensures perfect sharpening of the edges for high quality cutting.
LOWEST FRICTION COEFFICIENT: 0.1 - 0.2
Very good cutting and small friction losses. Reduce the adhesion of dirt to the blade. Ideal for high milling speeds in NESTING machining.
WORKING TEMPERATURE
Less overheating! The coating provides an operating temperature of up to 400°, which prevents wear of the cutting edges.
