VERITAS Miniature plane

VERITAS mini plane is made at a 1:3 scale compared to classic Veritas plane. It is designed for fine work in narrow or hard-to-reach areas, such as the interiors of wooden boxes or small joints. The tool measures only 55 mm in length, 16 mm in width, and less than 25 mm in height, making it ideal for detailed work where standard plane, chisel cannot reach.

The cutting blade with a 25° angle and bed angle of 15° provides an effective cutting angle of approximately 40°, cleanly slicing end grain and reducing the risk of wood tear-out. The entire cutting surface is exposed, allowing work right up to edges without damaging surrounding material.

The tool is made from precisely machined stainless cast steel with smooth sides and base, while the blade is made from A2 tool steel. The handle is made from solid walnut, providing comfortable grip and excellent control. Handcrafted in Canada, the spokeshave comes in an elegant presentation box made of embossed leather.
