The CMT 553 hole saws are very similar to the series 550 by structure, the main difference being the maximum drilling depth and drilling system. Due to the carbide teeth, the CMT 553 hole saws are suitable for drilling in different materials.
The 553 hole saws made by the CMT company are among the best and highest quality hole saws on the market. They have three to five carbide teeth, which are innovatively protected so that they are not damaged by an impact of a hard material.
Using the hole saws, we may drill boreholes in hard and soft wood, plywood, chipboard, MDF, plasterboard, plastic, plexi glass, bricks and other.
The principle of drilling boreholes is somewhat different than in the conventional hole saws.
First, we drill a borehole with a diameter of 10 mm, using the auger bit (542.100.51) for wood and the drill bit with carbide blade (553-HW10) for rock base materials.
For guiding the drill bit, we use the 553-CP2 centering pin (length 330 mm).
For drilling, it is necessary to buy the CMT 553-CP2 centering pin.
