Features of the KDT KD-612 KS machine:

The flow-through CNC KDT KD-612 KS is distinguished by three independent drilling units, two mounted on top and one underneath, which can process two workpieces simultaneously, greatly increasing the machine’s productivity. The lower drilling unit is smaller to minimize the opening and enhance accuracy, providing maximum support to the workpiece during drilling. In addition to drilling and milling, the independent back-cut saw also enables sawing operations.

The machine is equipped with a dedicated industrial PC running Windows and the KDT DrillTop software, providing simple and user-friendly operation. To boost productivity and automation, a barcode reader is included for handling barcodes. Programs can be created directly on the machine or in the office, and the machine is compatible with software such as MegaTischler, Corpus 3D, LestrojBox, Alphacam, and Solidworks. Online connectivity via TeamViewer is also available for remote servicing.

5500 mm-long guides for the pair of independent clamps allow processing of long pieces without reclamping. The infeed table features a special electric fan that blows air through the table for easier movement of workpieces, especially those with delicate surfaces.

No mechanical adjustments are required, making the machine very easy to use. Barcode operation further simplifies use, so an experienced operator is not required.

Clamps

Two automatic clamps, which move at a maximum speed of 140 m/min, significantly shorten the work cycle compared to other flow-through CNC machines on the market. Guide lengths of 3900 mm (model 610) or 5600 mm (model 612) greatly reduce the need to re-grip the workpiece, further speeding up the process. KDT’s flow-through CNC machines are thus regarded as some of the fastest on the market. Engaging the clamps via a foot pedal or a mobile console simplifies operation and increases flexibility.

Tool Magazine

The 5-position tool magazine for automatic tool change also accepts angular heads for machining door wings, side grooves, and other operations enabled by such heads.

Configuration of Working Units

Configuration of working aggregates for maximum flexibility and speed: three independent drilling units with 20 + 20 + 9 spindles (two top, one bottom), two milling aggregates 5.5 kW + 3.5 kW (top and bottom), an integrated grooving saw, and automatic tool change. Waste Conveyor

The waste conveyor belt is standard on the KDT 612 model. You have two elegant options for handling larger cutouts:
1. Automatic release – set the dimensions of the cutout in the program and the machine releases it onto the conveyor belt automatically.
2. Manual removal – after cutting, the machine briefly pauses the cycle so you can safely remove the piece by hand.
This dual approach is especially useful for large openings (e.g., for a sink), where classic pocketing would take significantly longer and use more tooling. KDT thus saves time, reduces tool wear, and offers flexibility that most other flow-through CNCs, limited to pocketing, simply don’t have.

The automatic inspection and measurement system for length, width, and thickness of the workpiece significantly reduces the possibility of human error when operating the CNC. When the machine detects the real dimensions of the piece, it can automatically adjust drill positions. The KDT software ensures that all corrections remain within your predefined tolerances. In the case of an unsuitable workpiece, the program automatically rejects the machining.

Upper Milling Unit with Automatic Tool Change

The upper milling head with automatic tool change features two independent air pressure plates that provide smooth sliding and a stable, firm grip during machining.
