Band saw HP-66
Double horizontal band saw for resawing lamellas of solid wood with minimal waste and the option of sawing wet and dry wood.
Double band saw HPL-66
An excellent solution that makes work much easier is the HP-66 band saw, which can saw wet oak with a blade thickness of 1.4 mm and blade width of 27 mm. It also allows sawing dry wood with a blade thickness of 0.7 mm and a final kerf of 1.0 mm.
Another big advantage of this machine is that a sawn 6 mm lamella dries in a conventional kiln in just 4 days. Anyone who dries oak planks knows this is a lengthy process that usually takes at least 3 to 4 months.
The HP-66 double band saw is therefore an ideal solution for cutting wet oak as well as other wood species. When cutting dry material at a feed speed of 6–9 m/min, an ideal surface for glue joints is achieved.
The double saw increases sawing capacity to a real speed of 18 m/min. Today lamellas are mostly used for parquet and increasingly for three-layer panels.
Each band saw is set independently via the programmer.
The main advantage of the machine is its fast feed, adjustable between 5 and 25 m/min depending on the wood and the desired surface quality.
An alternative solution for resawing boards is the so-called mini frame saw.
Advantages of the double band saw compared to a mini frame saw:
- higher speed
- faster machine setup
- much lower investment
- working width
Models available with a working width of 400, 600 or 1000 mm
Model available with a tilting head, 35° or 45°
The double horizontal band saw is an ideal machine for producing veneered panels (more expensive material on the outer layers, cheaper in the core).
The band saw is also used for producing multi-layer parquet or flooring, lamellas, ...
